No-one can deny that religion plays a massive role in many people lives around the world. Many people however do not feel comfortable with the mainstream Church of England and want to evangelise about the word of the lord and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Not everyone shares the same views on religion. Even those with religious testament may not agree on everything. Peter Popoff, founder of People United for Christ is one such evangelist. Spreading the word of God and proclaiming the saviour of man in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Does religion have a place in modern society?

One question that is often asked is whether or not religion has a place in an increasingly atheistic society. Many people blame religion as the cause of many wars and unjust acts carried out in the name of religion around the world. The problem is that it is not religion itself but how man has misinterpreted the bibles teachings.

Although many countries like the United States are secular religion plays a positive role in many Americans lives. Many religious beliefs may seem restrictive to many but a true believer who has embraced the teachings of the bible often finds an inner peace and leads a more constructive and happier life.

A person who is born again is less likely to do harm to others. A true Christian spirit not only gives hope, solace and comfort to others but finds the humanitarian acts spiritually uplifting bringing them closer to God.

Religion has brought hope and salvation to many. Of all the people I have met I have always found those with religious conviction and I mean true religious conviction seem to have aura of real inner peace that is almost infections when you are in their presence.

Without religion many people would be lost and without purpose and direction. Religion gives people hope when there is none.

Surely modern society has a place for something that brings so much joy, reassurance and hope. It is people like the evangelists who often bring the word of God to people in their time of need. Without people like Reverend Popoff in our busy society where we have no time for each other many souls would literally and figuratively fall by the wayside.
